Like many of you, I’m a little shy when it comes to tooting my own horn. But I know it’s important you understand my experience and credentials when you’re considering working with me – so here goes…
Emma Lewzey, CFRE
I’m an award-winning fundraiser with 20 years of experience helping non-profit organizations like yours build and grow successful, sustainable fundraising programs.
I’ve had the good fortune to work with some of Canada’s most generous philanthropists at both large and small shops, across a broad range of sectors, including arts, healthcare, and social services.
A Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) since 2009, I specialize in major and leadership giving, and also have extensive experience in direct marketing, monthly giving, face-to-face fundraising, planned giving, and donor retention and stewardship.
In addition to my technical fundraising skills, I have more than 12 years experience working on non-profit senior management teams, and have core competencies in strategic planning, board governance, diversity and inclusion, coaching and team building, and overall organizational development.
I’m an active volunteer with the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and am currently serving as the Vice-President, Equity and Inclusion on the board of directors of AFP Greater Toronto, and as a director on the national board of the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy – Canada. I’m proud to co-chair the AFP Fellowship in Inclusion and Philanthropy, a unique program that works to build a pipeline of fundraising leaders who reflect the diversity of our communities.
